palettes | fresh for january

January can be a strange month. The longing to start fresh, clear out any dead weight and begin the year’s journey on the right foot is at its most adamant during this month. But it can also be the hardest time to do that. With the January blues setting in and nostalgia for the craziness of December it can make it difficult to be motivated.

It also didn’t help that this year my New Years resolutions seemed to be big monumental things. I was making some fundamental life decisions and it has felt slightly overwhelming on a few occasions.

I’m moving house at the beginning of next month (monumental change number 1) so for me January has felt like a limbo month. In between sorting out the new pad and my crazy work schedule I haven’t really been able to give any resolutions a go… I have however eaten an inordinate amount of pizza. Not ideal when one of the resolutions was to get fit (ok not so monumental)!

So with only a few more weeks until the move I’ve started to turn my thoughts onto the décor and style of the new place. I love starting fresh with interiors and my lack of action with any New Years resolutions has me craving a fresh, minimal palette to give me the focused platform to kick off my new year properly. These images are some ideas that I’m cruising over at the moment and will be implementing very soon!
